How to Edit Stats After a Game
Fix a wrong goal, assist, ejection or other stat during a game or after it's finished.
Players' stats can be corrected both during a game and after it's marked finished, so their 6-8 Mobile App and 6-8 Dashboard stay accurate.
Before you start: the 6-8 Game Desk account that scored the game.
- Open Game Scoring and tap the Finished tab.
- Tap the game you need to correct.
- Tap Edit or undo stats. Every stat in the game is listed by quarter.
- On the wrong stat's row, tap Edit to change the player, the team or the time, or Delete to remove it. Deleting a goal also offers Convert to "Missed Shot".
- Check the Box Score tab. Score and stats update after each change.
An edited row shows Edited and Undo edit, so you can go back. A stat can't be changed into a different type, for example a goal into an assist. Delete it, and if another stat should be added, submit a request.
Prefer video? Watch the post-game stat edit tutorial. Recorded on an earlier version of the Game Desk, so some screens look different.
6-8 Tip: Fix stats as soon as you can, ideally the same day. There is no time limit, but families check their app right after the game, and an early fix prevents most "my stats are wrong" requests.
What you can't edit yourself: finished-game rosters, including cap numbers. See How to Fix Roster Mistakes.
