How to Fix Roster Mistakes (Cap Numbers and Goalies)
Change a player's position or cap number while a game is live, or get help after it's finished.
When a game is still In progress, you can fix cap numbers and positions yourself. Once it's finished, rosters are locked and the 6-8 Team makes the change.
Option 1: The game is still in progress. Best for catching it on deck.
Change a cap number.
- On the scoring screen, tap > next to the player.
- Tap Edit cap with the player's number, for example Edit cap 2.
- Enter the new Cap number and tap Save.
The player keeps every stat recorded so far, now under the new cap number.
Make a player the goalie.
- On the scoring screen, swipe left on the player and tap Edit.
- Under Position, choose Goalie.
- Tap Done.
The cap turns red with a GK tag, and Save shows in the stat buttons when the goalie is selected. There is no need to activate the goalie from Inactive.
Option 2: The game is finished. Best when you notice it later.
- Submit a request with the game title, date, both teams, and the player's correct cap number or position.
- The 6-8 Team updates the roster and confirms by email.
6-8 Tip: Check cap numbers against the roster during warm-ups, before you tap Start.
