How to Tag an Athlete on a Roster

Link a roster spot to an athlete's 6-8 ID so their stats flow to their 6-8 Mobile App and 6-8 Dashboard. No approval step needed.

Tagging connects a player on your 6-8 Game Desk roster to their 6-8 profile. Untagged players still get scored, but their stats never reach their app.

Before you start: the athlete needs an Athlete Profile in the 6-8 Mobile App. There is no approval step: a new Athlete Profile can be found on the 6-8 Game Desk as soon as the family creates it.

Add a new player and tag them:

  1. Go to Team Profiles and open the team.
  2. Tap + Add Player at the bottom of the roster.
  3. In the search box, type the athlete's 6-8 ID or name, then tap the athlete.
  4. Enter the Player Number and check the Position, then tap Done.

Tag a player already on the roster: tap the edit icon next to the player, then Choose existing next to Do you want to link the current player to an athlete? Search for the athlete and tap Done.

A tagged player shows Linked to 6-8 ID with the athlete's name and 6-8 ID. Tagged the wrong athlete? Tap Unlink in the same window.

Athlete not showing up? Search by 6-8 ID instead of name, and check that the family created an Athlete Profile, not only a user account.

6-8 Tip: Tag your whole roster before the season starts so stats reach athletes' apps from game one. Missed someone? The 6-8 Team can tag athletes to past games retroactively.
