How to Edit Stats From an Event, Tournament or League Game
Games from events, the 6-8 Game Desk and USAWP are read only in the app. Who can change them, and how to ask for a fix.
Stats from an event, tournament or league game can be fixed two ways: by the 6-8 Game Desk account that scored the game, usually the event, the league or the team's scorer, not the family; or by the 6-8 Team, who can fix any game directly.
These games are read only in the 6-8 Mobile App. Parents and athletes can't edit or delete stats from a game they didn't score in the app themselves. Games from the 6-8 Game Desk, verified accounts such as USA Water Polo (USAWP), events and other scorers keep their official stats. Their ... menu has Share, Highlights and Add to folder, with no Edit Stats or Delete.
Option 1: You scored the game on the 6-8 Game Desk. Best for scorers and coaches.
- Open Game Scoring and tap the Finished tab.
- Tap the game, then Edit or undo stats.
- Tap Edit or Delete on the stat's row, then check the Box Score tab.
The full steps are in How to Edit Stats After a Game.
Option 2: Someone else scored the game. Best for parents and athletes.
- Ask the coach, club or event director who scored the game to correct the stat.
- Can't reach them? Submit a request with the athlete's 6-8 ID, the event name, both teams, the date, the cap number and the stat that is wrong. The 6-8 Team fixes the game directly.
No time limit. Any played game can be fixed, and totals update in about 2 minutes. Still, fix stats as soon as you can, ideally the same day.
Only the 6-8 Team can change: rosters of a finished game, including cap numbers and goalies. See How to Fix Roster Mistakes.
