How Many Accounts Should My Family Have?
One user account per family, with a separate athlete profile for each athlete.
A family needs one user account. Inside it, you add an athlete profile for each athlete. It works like a streaming account with one login and a profile for each person.
| Type | What it is | How many |
|---|---|---|
| User account | The login that owns everything. Usually a parent, or an older athlete who manages their own account. | One per family |
| Athlete Profile | A profile for one athlete, with their own 6-8 ID, stats and results. | One per athlete, no limit |
Example: a parent creates the user account, then adds an athlete profile for each of their two kids. Everyone in the family uses the same email and password and can log in on their own device. A subscription is shared by the whole family.
View-only access for someone else. A family member or a coach can follow one athlete without your password. In the 6-8 Mobile App, open the Athlete Profile and tap Invite user by email. Enter their email, choose Family Member, Coach or Other under Relation (optional), and tap Send invite.
- They see stats, game video and reels in the app and on the 6-8 Dashboard. They can't edit, download or see contact details.
- You can invite one person for each athlete.
- An invite that is not accepted in 30 days expires. Access stays until you remove it under Invited people.
